Should I have a Reconstruction?
Unless your lump can be safely removed one of the big decisions that
we have to face when diagnosed with breast cancer is whether to go for
an immediate reconstruction or opt for a mastectomy.
This section brings together the reasoning behind the decisions made by some of our members to help you make your own decision.
If you will be having radiation then you will most likely have to wait until the skin has healed before your doctors will even consider doing a reconstruction
Only you can decide what will be best for you but hopefully this will give you some insights into how others decided and then coped with living with their choice.
